1. About FletchaLink

FletchaLink is a ride-hailing service operating in the Mount Fletcher and Tlokoeng area of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. By creating an account you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy below.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to enter binding contracts in South Africa. Drivers must additionally hold a valid South African driver's licence and roadworthy vehicle with current licence disc.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for any activity on your account. Provide accurate information at signup — false information may result in suspension. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

4. Rides and payments

Fares are calculated based on distance and our published rates. The default payment method is cash, paid directly to the driver at the end of the trip. FletchaLink takes a service commission from each completed ride. Customers must behave respectfully towards drivers; drivers must drive safely and lawfully.

5. Driver requirements

Drivers must upload required documents (RSA ID, driver's licence, vehicle licence) within 24 hours of registration or their account will be suspended. Drivers must only operate within the Mount Fletcher / Tlokoeng service area while online.

6. Cancellations and disputes

Either party may cancel a ride before it starts. Repeated cancellations may result in restrictions. Disputes about fares, behaviour, or service quality should be reported through the app and will be handled by our admin team.

7. Disclaimer of liability

FletchaLink is a platform that connects customers with independent drivers. We are not the carrier and do not own or operate the vehicles. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, FletchaLink is not liable for personal injury, property damage, loss, or delay arising from a ride. Drivers are responsible for their own vehicle insurance, roadworthiness, and compliance with traffic laws.

8. Privacy & data

We collect and process the following personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA):
  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Identity and licence documents (drivers and customers)
  • GPS location while you use the app
  • Ride history, payments, and ratings

We use this information to operate the service, match you with rides, calculate fares, verify drivers, prevent fraud, and comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information. Documents are stored privately and only viewable by you and authorised admin staff.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Use the "Delete my account" button in your dashboard, or contact us at support@fletchalink.co.za.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, break the law, endanger others, or abuse the platform. Drivers with expired documents or operating outside the service area may be taken offline automatically.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of FletchaLink after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
